This web site displays original paintings and hand pulled prints by me, Brent Trach. Trach Art Studio is located outside of the beautiful community of Callander, Ontario, Canada. We're fortunate to live in an area surrounded by iconic Canadian landscapes of Georgian Bay, French River, Temagami, Algonquin Park and the Almaguin Highlands.
I am a self taught artist and mainly work in transparent watercolours but also work in acrylic and oil. I am an honoured member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colours (CSPWC). I am also a print maker and create one of a kind hand pulled prints using a process called "drypoint" and Lino printing.
In 2019, my acrylic painting "Old Friends" was selected for Ducks Unlimited Canada 2019 National Art Portfolio. Prints of the painting are available for purchase through DU Canada and proceeds of sales are used for the preservation and conservation of wetlands. My art is available at my home studio and at "Quinn's of Tweed", Tweed, Ontario . Framing of my paintings and prints are done in-house by my wife using archival techniques and she does a fantastic job.
